Easy Baked Beans

4 bacon slices
1 (28-ounce) can pork and beans
1 small onion, diced
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sorghum syrup
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir together beans and next 6 ingredients in a lightly greased 1-quart baking dish. Top with bacon slices.

Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes and enjoy the nice bean recipe.

Baked Beans With Pineapple Recipe

1 pound ground sirloin
28 ounces can baked beans
8 ounces drained pineapple tidbits
1 large white onion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

In a skillet, brown sirloin and drain. Place in casserole dish. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook at 325F for 45 minutes.

I purchased this recipe from the Woods Estate in Canton, Texas. These are yummy. I made them right after I got the recipe and they are very good. Make them 2-3 times each month, especially when we have hamburgers. Dated 1964.

Quick & Easy Baked Bean Recipe

4 14-oz Cans pork & beans
8 slices Bacon
1 Medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup Catsup
1 t Yellow mustard (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fry bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside. Saute onion in 2 T bacon grease until barely tender. Combine all ingredients in a greased 2-qt casserole and bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes.
