1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (14 oz.) can mushrooms
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. salt & pepper
2 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
8 slices American cheese
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Brown beef, onion and garlic. Drain after cooking. Stir in sauce, mushrooms, sugar, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
Heat until boiling. Decrease and simmer for 10 minutes. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.
Mix Bisquick, milk and egg. Spread 1/2 in the baking dish. Put 4 slices cheese on top. Top with beef mixture.
Put on 4 more slices of cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Drop the rest of dough in spoonfuls on the top.
Bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.

4 oz. vermicelli or fine noodles
1/2 lb. boneless beef top round steak
Non-stick spray coating
1/2 of med. onion, chopped
1 (14 oz.) can tomato wedges
1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen Italian style green beans
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
3 oz. Italian style tomato paste
1/2 tsp. fennel seed
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta according to package instructions.
Meanwhile, trim fat from meat. Thinly slice meat across the grain into bite size strips.
Spray a cold large skillet with non-stick coating. Heat the skillet over high heat.
Add the meat strips and onion; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until the meat is brown.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, green beans, mushrooms, tomato paste, fennel seed and pepper. Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 7-8 minutes or over pasta.
Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese, if desired. Makes 4 servings.

Serves: 4
1 lb. pasta (Pennette)
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 Tbsp. ketchup
2 shots of Vodka
1/8 tsp. ground red hot pepper
1. In a skillet at medium heat add the vodka and red hot pepper. Light the vodka with a match. (Be careful!)
2. In the mean time prepare the pasta as directed.
3. Once the vodka burns out add the milk, heavy cream and ketchup.
4. Simmer until it thickens, about 15 minutes. Then add 1/4 cup parmesan.
5. When the pasta is cooked strain it and add it to the cream, mix well, add the remaining 1/4 cup parmesan and serve it hot.
